Wyoming's Indian Outlaw

We are very excited about getting Outlaw registered so that he can go to two shows this spring.  We are looking at the Lama Market in Chippewa Falls and the Northern WI State Fair in Eau Claire.  If he does well in these shows we may show him in the fall at a show in MI.  If all goes well this year we may look into getting him Kearned next year so that hopefully he will be eligable to be a member of the SLA.  We'll keep you informed to how he does!

Spring Bling came and went

Spring Bling in it's first year did very well for us as photographers.  We met a lot of new farms and saw some old ones too.  We enjoyed the show, although it moved a little slower then years past but overall, I'd say it was a good show for new breeders.  The judge was very thourough and gave good comments.  We stayed busy and are looking forward to the Madison show at the end of the month.

Janna Grace Produces two fine males

Produce/Janna Grace

This is Janna Grace's last two cria, FireHawk is now going to be two and Kentucky Bourboun is turning one.  There are great similarities among all of her crias and these two boys are no exception.  They have gorgous fiber, with very low microns, great staple length and crimp.  They also have lustre.  FireHawk will be available for breedings with in the next year and watch for tuck down the road!

Warm Spring Day and a Little Sun

With the warmer temps and a little sun we were able to get all nine of our animals on halters and leads today.  We photographed all nine animals and we all got a little exercise.  All of our boys are looking nice and the fiber is great.  Can't beat a nice Spring Day.  Photos below:

Bean WorkingBean doing his thing, he is still in training!

Cowboy  Cowboy and his awesome grey fleece! Cowboy's Fleece

J-Lo, Truffles first cria  J-Lo, which was Truffles first Cria.

Chocolate Liberty  This is Chocolate Liberty, known as Libby.

Wyoming's Indian Outlaw  Wyoming's Indian Outlaw, he is Truffles only Suri Cria.

Truffles  This is Truffles, our breeding Llama.

Janna Grace  This is our breeding alpaca, Janna grace.

Janna's Two Boys  This is BHR's Kentucky Bourbon and BHR's FireHawk, both are Janna's boys.  Tuck is sired from med brown and FireHawk is sired from white.  They both have great coverage, and an abundant staple.

I plan to work on these photos and hopefully they will be great when they are done.

Llama Stats:

Truffles is our breeding female, she has produced two females and three males she is a dark brown silky llama.  She is 42 inches at the withers.

J-Lo is Truffles first cria, a beautiful red/brown llama with a spectacular personality.  She is very small in stature at only 39 inches at the withers.  She is a non-breeder but a great PR girl.

Chocolate Liberty is Truffles second cria, she's almost as big as her mom already and she is turning three this year.  She is a medium brown with white markings.  She will be bred to our Male XL Bar LL Bean for a 2009 cria.  She is 41 inches at the withers and had in her first shearing an 18.9 micron.

Next came Hot Shot Cowboy, quite possibly the most beautiful color I have seen in a llama. When he was shorn for the first time, he looked blue.  He is a silver grey and has a micron around 20.  He is already 42 inches at the withers and is just turning two.

Truffles last cria produced to date is Wyoming's Indian Outlaw.  He is a beautiful suri boy, a cream to light brown color.  He has some grey, and may grey out completely.  He lacks his siblings white markings but is a very handsome little boy.  He is currently, at six months 34 1/2 inches at the withers and over 70 lbs.  We hope to put him through the suri classification process next year and hopefully he'll pass.
